Masai Mara Conservation Centre

About This Project

This RIBA competition proposal for the Masai Mara Conservation Centre introduces a vibrant community hub that doubles as an immersive visitor destination. Directly inspired by the region’s rich heritage, wildlife, and vernacular materials, the design establishes a new focal point for both residents and tourists. By utilizing a sunken topography, the scheme frames a striking architectural form around a central hub of activity. Elevating the experience further, the design incorporates a higher vantage point that offers unprecedented, uninterrupted views over the reserve.
